November 03, 2012
Hash House A Go Go has 3 locations –Las Vegas, Chicago and California. They recently opened their Chicago location – July 2012. Hash House A Go Go serves 4 meals a day breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. It has an expansive menu selection with everything from Pancakes to Roasted chicken and everything in between - the menu was too large for me to post here. The typical serving sizes at Hash House A Go Go are large and larger! To view the menu please go to:  http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/menu/

I would give Hash House a Go Go 5 stars. The Food and Service was incredible.

I give the Chicago location 5*****'s. The food was great, the service was great and the drinks I had were great. I enjoyed this location better than Las Vegas. It was more comfortable to me. We had a great time and everyone was stuffed!

HASH HOUSE A GO-GO, WOW! The décor fits the name, not an elegant restaurant, but very comfortable, a pleasing to the eye type restaurant. Who needs all that fancy stuff when you serve food that is better than most of the top restaurants. The food was two sizes larger, the appetizers, the entrée, and drinks (Ghost and Spice) were AWESOME!!! Everyone had a carry home bag, even (FRED) :). The staff was wonderful and attentive. Parking was convenience right across the street. I enjoyed the Chicago location better then Las Vegas, maybe because of the company and being at home. But then again I had breakfast in Vegas and not Dinner. For our dinner clubbers who missed this one, you must go to HASH HOUSE A GO-GO, 5*****s.

I enjoyed everything about Hash House A Go Go (Chicago). For an appetizer I had the Crispy Cornmeal Tiger Prawns and for my main course the Sage Fried Chicken and Waffles. I have dined at the Hash House A Go Go in Las Vegas so I vividly remembered the good food and large portions. Let me just say I was amazed again by the quality and quantity of the food. Each dish was meticulously crafted and delicious. Highly recommended.

I give it 5 stars, I had the stuffed meatloaf, absolutely delicious!!!!! It was so much food I've eaten from it three times!!!! The atmosphere and service was great. I will definitely go again.

Can I give it 6 stars? I figure any time I can't eat half my meal, a good one at that, deserves to be off the chart plus they gave us a free appetizer and drink (BIG THANKS Eddie).
I had the chicken and waffles which was more than what I was given at that Imperial Palace location in Vegas (4 waffles compared to 3). The seasoning on the chicken…Sooo Good. The presentation was nice (including the trees) and the waitstaff was GREAT. Surprisingly the waffles turned out pretty good the next day when I warmed them up.

Texas De Brazil - September 15, 2012

5 Woodfield Mall Suite D312
Schaumburg, IL 60173
847-413-1600

My take - Texas de brazil ranks 3rd. Fogo is #1, brazazz is#2.  I loved the desert menu at Texas - Texas had a very diverse desert menu!!!  While the salad bar was nice it paled in comparison to fogo and brazazz!!  The lobster bisque was simply Bisque - where was the lobster?  Theodis loved the pork ribs, the lamb was tasteful and the bacon wrap filet was great.
Service was good.  Would I go again? maybe.
I would give texas de brazil 3 stars

Theodis & Kris

I liked the ambiance of the restaurant and where we were seated. In comparison to the other Brazilian style restaurants I would have to place them third on the list with Fogo being # 1 and Brazazz #2. Fogo's salad bar far exceeds the others it size and variety, IMO. I really enjoyed the bacon wrapped filet mignon, garlic chicken, plantains and ribs. The steak and lamb was pretty good if you ate it as soon as it hit your plate, mines sat a while which seemed to dry out a bit. I didn't care for the lobster bisque, no lobster or seasoning of any kind. The sushi and shrimp were good from the salad bar. The mashed potatoes were a little bland.  A big plus for them separating the checks for a large party!!  I give them 3 stars.
Scott

The Signature Drink "The Caipirinha" was delicious.  The Salad Bar was Okay,Au Gratin Potatoes, and the Smoked Salmon were the highlight for me.  The lamb chops were good but VERY SALTY.  The Pork Ribs and the Chicken were Good.  I would give Texas de brazil 3 stars.
Fred

In comparison to the other Brazilian steakhouses where we dined, I would rank the food as simply okay. The meat in general was a little heavy with seasoning and the lobster bisque (a personal favorite) lacked lobster. The wait staff was friendly, attentive and their willingness to separate the checks for our large party was a pleasant surprise. I would give Texas de Brazil two stars.
Lori

The food was ok---nothing to write home about. The salad bar did not have a huge variety of items.  The items that I had were good except the lamb chops were a little salty.  The signature drink was good.
Overall I would give Texas de Brazil 2.5 stars!
Eddie

I enjoyed the salad bar but was disappointed that it did not include fruit. Maybe it's just me but it was kind of strange that mashed potatoes were on the table when we returned from the salad bar....they were too cold to eat.  It would have been nice if our waiter would have mentioned that the option for meat with "less salt" was available (the chicken parm was flavorful but the filet and lamb chop was excessively salty for me). For the wine drinkers in the club, the Cabernet was soooooo good! Had I not drank multiple glasses of H2O (glad we didn't have to pay for it), I would have had another glass. ;>)  Fogo De Chao is still my favorite of the 3 Brazilian steakhouses that we have visited.
Sandra

Well, not trying to be the last one to reply :). I think Brazazz is #1 because of the salad bar and Fogo De Cho #2; the meats and desserts are basically the same, so the only thing that separates the two is the seafood salad bar. Brazazz totally has the best seafood salad bar hands down.

Oh, I guess I need to talk about Texas de Brazil #3, the only thing that stood out was the special signature drink the caipirinha.  Unfortunately, you can only have one or two, because of the long drive back home. Texas brazil meats were toooo salty, this make you drink more water and eat less, that's one of their tricks, to fill you up with water. Really who in the hell eat meat with all that salt and if there is a choice of less salty meats, that should have been mentioned at the beginning of the server conversation. I don't recall the meats at #1or #2 Brazil restaurants being salty. The only meats that had flavor that you can taste was the Pork ribs, and chicken. The seafood salad bar was ok, nothing to have a conversation about so I won't. The decor of all three Brazil restaurants are beautiful, unfortunately that's the only thing they have in common. I give Texas de Brazil 2 stars for masquerading as a Brazil restaurant.  The best thing about this restaurant was we all were here.

Chris and I give the restaurant 2 stars. Meat was little too seasoned.  But we did enjoy the carrot cake and company. Free parking is always and nice bonus.

This was my first time at a restaurant where the meat was carved by waiter in that way.   I found myself wanting to try food I've never tried before.  I enjoyed the filet wrapped with bacon.  The chicken was good.  A taste of Lamb, a little salty.  The banana's, I really like those. The ribs were good. That steak, some a little tuff but ok.  The Sangria --Good
The Carrot cake enjoyed it.  Got full really fast.  I give Texas de Brazil 3 stars.
Carol

This was a first for me. Thanks. I enjoyed being served by others sometimes, its relaxing when you're out!!. But, could not finish the meal! The meal was excellent. The drinks were strong.  The meats that I had were tender but little bit salty.
The salad bar ok.  My cranberry and grey goose was made like I would have made at home.  Our table make up was good everyone could fit and had great elbow room.  Enjoyed the carrot cake.  Just could not flip the chip to say no!!!!
Would I return Sure!! ( I'll give 2 1/2 Stars)
